Project overview

This most striking of buildings has been nominated for the RIBA awards for the best home in the UK. All viewpoints of this house show that the inspiration for the design has a uniquely original and totally contemporary theme. In particular, the use of of a marble-lined reflection pool to the front of the house means that the mood, light and shade, and the impact of the building constantly changes subtly.

Numerous state of the art techniques and specifications have been used: Geothermal heating, air-exchange ventilation system, full sound system, computerised electrical control systems, cantilevered floor slabs, structured glass walls, zinc cladding, sustainably managed timber cladding and many others. The final outcome has resulted in a striking building which still fully functions as a comfortable family home.
